A team of researchers, led by Prof. Keith Bannister at the Commonwealth Science and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) in Australia, observed a burst of radio waves, three-billion light years away, using the Australian Square Kilometre Array Pathfinder (ASKAP) telescope.
